Up till now, this is the ULTIMATE 8 pipeline graphic card, no other cards can fight this in terms of performance, price and power consumption !!
Specification:
GPU / MEM = 550 / 1600
Max load temp = 66C with stock cooler
Price = ~ RM450.

Wow..... 7300GT's 3Dmark performance is on par (or better) with the 6800GS, which costs twice as much!
It beats the 6800GS in Doom 3 but not in HL2 (w/o AA). Seems that the 7300GT managed to outperform the 6800GS when AA was enabled in HL2. Also, their test data shows that the 7300GT performed as good as the 6800GS in FEAR... which is cool!
Best of all, it beats the 7900GT under SLI mode by up to 3000 marks in 3Dmark03 while costing below RM1,000 for a pair.
Could this be the next legendary 6600GT??

Nice!

But is it really ture that only RM450?

Cause most of the XFX product at Malaysia is really expensive!

Like Winfast 7800GT VS XFX 7800GT, RM11XX VS RM 13XX on same product!

the problem is, where in malaysia can we find it?! The only 7300GT DDR3 i've seen around here is the Galaxy 7300GT DDR3, which i'm not interested in.

Galaxy 7300GT is pretty nice among the 7300GTs. XFX isnt available most probably bcoz its customer service isnt satisfactory, harder to RMA.

If you're interested with XFX 7300GT DDR3, you may try contacting Vertex Distribution

What is the difference between a Galaxy 7300GT and an XFX 7300GT...or any other brands?
Is the XFX's price higher?
pcmoddingmy

Basically, Galaxy and XFX is the same and most of us pay more for the branding, bundle and warranty. Mostly they use the reference NVIDIA design for the cards.
However, I did notice that Galaxy is marketing their own PCB with the 7300GT cards.

Vertex Distribution only supplies the DDR2 version...
I did help a friend who got his hands on the card to overclock it to 650/1700. Now it's a powerhouse.

Wow..... you mean you overclocked the DDR2 version to 650/1700?
That's 850MHz memory clock there... I've never seen DDR2 clock that high.
Maybe it's DDR3 after all. Could you post the numbers on the memory IC here?

Let me borrow this thread awhile...
1. Is there a big difference between a 7600GT DDR3 and a 7300GT DDR3?
My friend said that a 7300GT can be overclocked to match a 7600GT in terms of performance...can this be done easily and safely?
2. What brand do you recommend if i want to get either one of these cards? (one that is easily available in Malaysia)

1. 7600GT DDR3 > 7300GT DDR3 Overclocked
However, 7600GS DDR2 < 7300GT DDR3 Overclocked
This is simply because the 7600 series has 12 pipelines vs. 8 pipelines on the 7300GT.
2. Go with Galaxy/XFX because it's widely available in Malaysia. You may also want to check out Inno3D if anyone carries it.

Winfast (Leadtek) is not bad also, but I've yet to read any review about their 7300GT DDR3.
Anyways, Winfast 7300GT (PX7300 GT TDH Extreme) looks like this:

Also, I have no idea about the pricing for Winfast 7300GT.

Any idea how it overclocks? Does the core do about 600MHz?

From the stock HSF, I think 550Mhz is far enough

, cause even the Galaxy 7300GT 256MB 1.2ns GDDR3 with Zalman VGA cooler can OC to 600Mhz.

uh... there's no real difference between the 128 and 256mb ddr3.
Think about it this way:
128mb is enough for games at 1280x1024 resolution or lower
256mb is enough to handle 1280x0124 resolution or higher.
You will get a few more fps from the 256mb ddr3, but if the only thing you can find is the 128mb, then it should be good enough.
As far as i'm concerned, the 7300Gt isn't that powerful, so you won't have to worry about bottlenecks, unless you really have a sucky processor and 512mb ram in your pc.
I would focus on overclocking the memory too, not just the core. A 7300GT DDR3 clocked at 550/1600 is still strong enough to contend with the 6800GS, while 600/1600 will give a few more fps. I've seen an inno3d 7300GT ddr3 with stock coolers push to 640/1600, and still keep quite cool.

Memory size only affects in certain games demanding more than 128MB such as Quake 4/Doom 3 at max setting. This is because the game loads a huge chunk of data onto the graphics card when set to max setting.
If both 128MB and 256MB have same clock speeds (eg: 1400MHz), there real-life performance will be identical.
But if the 256MB version costs only RM100 more, grab it by all means (provided its DDR3 too). This is because 128MB is not going to be good enough for upcoming games (eg: UT2K7). The only problem here is the availability of 256MB DDR3 7300GT cards in Malaysia. A lot of readers are having troubles locating these 256MB cards on the streets...

that would be Ultra settings for Doom 3/Quake 4, for a card to use more than 128mb. Otherwise at high settings, it's all good.
I managed to run this 6600GT 128mb in oblivion, fear, and condemned with textures set to max, in which i saw no lags or major performance loss. The thing is, the memory size comes into play when you set the texture resolution size. In most cases though, there really isn't much difference (noticeable difference) between medium textures and high. So as long as you have all the other settings up to high, putting texture size to medium will still give you a great looking game.

Hmm...

What resolutions you set? Cause I'm still using 6600GT, like playing Oblivion, set higher quality(almost every thing to max) had to set resolution at 680x480 to playable, but still avarge 30-50fps at out door, and in door 40-60fps...

hmmm... I ran Oblivion with these settings
Res: 1280x1024
Textures: Large
Lighting: HDR
Fade Sliders: medium
View Distance and Grass Distance: Max (grass was tweaked)
Self-Shadows: Off
All other options: On
Specular Distance: Max
Shadow Filtering: High
Water Detail: High
and i got about 21-32 fps outdoors, and 30-58fps indoors.
Note: my 6600GT is clocked to 600/1250, and in Oblivion, 20fps above is still acceptable.
Once i get a 7300GT DDR3 (128mb or 256mb), i'll be able to get double the performance of my 6600GT. Can't wait
