The E207WFP is a stripped down version of the slightly expensive 2007WFP which cost about RM300 more. Although the E207WFP is rated at 5ms response time, keep in mind that it uses entry level TN (Twisted Nematic) panel. TN panel is the oldest technology in LCD manufacturing that is cheaper to produce thus lower cost. Therefore, UltraSharp is not featured with the E207WFP. The E207WFP also does not support height adjusting or portrait mode. Available input is limited to analog and DVI only. To be short, the E207WFP is a great monitor for gaming, provided you sit right in front of the monitor. This is because the viewing angle is limited to 160º only. Any higher will result in colour saturation and you will experience the “film negative” effect
Unlike the 2007WFP which uses superior quality S-IPS (Super In-plane Switching) panel that produces vibrant colours. It also comes with Dell's UltraSharp feature. The viewing angle is also wider on the 2007WFP as the viewable area is up to 178º. The 2007WFP has more inputs including analog, DVI, S-Video, composite and 4 USB2.0 ports.
Anyways, I was trying to get the E207WFP for reviews and apparently, Dell refuses to give any sort of discount of coupon
So I received a call from their sales rep and they worked me through the process. Just about 30 mins ago, my order was confirmed and the details were sent to my email. Everything went smooth until they informed me that I had to wait 5-7 working days to receive the goods. In other words, that’s about 1 to 2 week. Until we get the monitor in our hands, I'm going hold my words.
Tell us what you feel about this monitor.
