Okay, so you might have probably heard of Razer a couple of years back when they introduced their Boomslang gaming mice. Then, they made a comback with their Viper and Diamondback optical gaming mouse. Razer was also one of the first to come up with infrared mouse with the Diamondback Plasma Limited Edition. So, then there was the lazer revolution and Razer went back to the drawing board. Thus, the Copperhead was born. Okay, enough history lesson here... let's get cooking. Introducing, Razer's latest professional gaming peripheral; Razer Tarantula. Razer has been pushing their product lineup for this year and they came up with peripherals such as keyboard, soundcard and even headphones. Basically, the Tarantula is Razer's first ever gaming keyboard and like most Razer products, the Tarantula is quite fantastic. I'll won't be going into much details here as I will be saving it for the complete review which will be posted soon. So here goes...

As you can see, the packaging is quite fancy and it even flips open like some high-end motherboard's packaging. Well, this is they type of packaging you would expect for a keyboard that costs $100 (RM370).

Among Tarantula features includes anti-ghosting (press up to 10 keys in one go), macro keys (8 keystrokes with just a single button), 100 profile switching On-The-Fly, 32KB onboard memory to store up to 5 profiles onto the keyboard (to use without software), keymaps and fully interchangeable keys (10 gaming keys included). Apart from that, the keyboard also has two USB ports and mic-in and speaker-out ports. Until next time, enjoy the picture of Tarantula as it glows on me desk. FYI, the "Razer" logo glows from dark to light when the keyboard is powered... cool! Pair this baby with the Copperhead and you're all set!

P/S: Razer is currently promoting their "Trade Up To The Ultimate Gaming Keyboard" competition where you are required to submit your 1 minute video presentiation on how you could destroy your current gaming keyboard for a chance to win a brand new Razer Tarantula.
