ViewSonic VA1912W 8ms 19"WS Chi Mei Optoelectronics TN Film (M190A1)
BenQ FP92W 5ms 19"WS TN Film
Samsung 940BW 4ms G2G 19"WS Samsung TN Film
LG L194WT 5ms 19"WS TN Film
They all have TN panels, which is typical the more cost effective type of LCD panel.
Among them, looks like the Viewsonic is out because Chimei TN panels apparently arent as good as LG/Philips, AU Optronics and Samsung panels. I'm not sure what TN panels the others use and I suggest you look at them personally to decide.
The samsung might have panels from Chimei ( C), AU Optronics (A) and Samsung (S) themselves. You have to look at the model number at the back to determine, and they will have C, A, or S as the last digit. S and A are the better ones. I'm not sure if this same rule applies to the 940BW, but it applies to the 226BW.
The LG is most probably using an LG-Philips panel so have a look at it and compare.
Remember when it comes to LCD's, it's not the badge or brand stamped on it that matters... it's the LCD panel that is being used inside.

how to know what panel we got?? its stated outside the box? i read in net about some games not supported in widescreen ratio. we gonna do some tweaking or something to select the suitable ratio? compare between widescreen and normal panel, which one better in gaming performance?
Of the four units, the better two would be BenQ and the LG. I have the ViewSonic 1912w. Its quality is ok, but viewing text, my older BenQ 17 G+S LCD beat the pants off it!. Viewsonic is also very difficult to tune the Colour temperature for video display. That bluish tint is very annoying to me.
I used to look down on AOC, until I recently got a 22inch 223VW, I swear its colour clarity is better than the SaSung 225BW which costs more. I actually ordered the LQ 226WTQ but the shop could not secure the supply so settled for AOC 223VW. Still a great buy very happy with it. This unit makes the Viewsonic 1912w look like an old crt monitor....
